Computers and Structures, Inc. (CSI) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) have generously made funds available to award registration grants and attendance scholarships to students, early career members, and those participating in the April 9 Reconnaissance Training Workshop to help defray costs of attending the 2024 EERI Annual Meeting taking place April 9-12, 2024 in Seattle, Washington.
The CSI Early Career Registration Grants and Attendance Scholarships will cover the cost to attend all 4 days of the 2024AM, including 2024AM main programming, Meet the Leaders event, pre-conference Reconnaissance Workshop, and post-conference Reconnaissance Field Exercise. The Attendance Scholarship will cover 2 nights at the meeting hotel, the Sheraton Grand. The Reconnaissance Workshop and Meeting Participation Grants will be decided on a case by case basis but can cover registration, hotel, and travel costs.

Selection Criteria
CSI Early Career Registration Grants and Attendance Scholarships
These grants and attendance scholarships are intended for university students, early-career academics, and early career professionals. The selection committee will review applicants based on the following criteria:
- Active participation and/or interest in the 2024 EERI Annual Meeting (e.g. session organizer, invited speaker or moderator, poster presenter, meeting volunteer work, etc.).
- Interest and planned attendance of the full meeting, including the reconnaissance workshop and field exercise.
- EERI membership and active participation with national EERI or a local EERI Student or Regional Chapter (if a local chapter exists).
Reconnaissance Workshop and Meeting Participation Grants
These grants are intended to support attendees to participate in the April 9 Reconnaissance Training Workshop, April 12 Reconnaissance Field Exercise, and 2024 EERI Annual Meeting technical program. The selection committee will review applicants based on the following criteria:
- Active participation in Reconnaissance Training Workshop and Field Exercise.
- Demonstration of financial need.
- EERI membership and active participation in EERI or in an EERI Student or Regional Chapter (if a local chapter exists).
